April 14, 2018

The Niagara Chapter of the Society for Ethnomusicology invites proposals for its annual meeting to be held on April 14, 2018 at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario.

Scholars from all branches of music scholarship and related disciplines are encouraged to submit proposals. SEM-Niagara requires no membership dues and the registration fee is always modest.

For workshops, films and videos, demonstrations, and performances, send a title and 200-word description, including the amount of time required and technical needs. On a separate page, list the name(s) of participant(s), institutional affiliations (if any), and contact information.

The chapter encourages proposals from students. The T. Temple Tuttle Prize is awarded for the best student paper presented at the meeting.

Wondering if you are in the Niagara Chapter? We typically include ethnomusicologists from Ontario, Western and Central New York, Western Pennsylvania, and Eastern Ohio, but there are no geographic restrictions on participation.
