2019 SEM-SEC Conference details

Society for Ethnomusicology Southeast & Caribbean Chapter Annual Meeting 2019

March 28-30, 2019 (Thursday through Saturday) at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC, USA. 


The conference is held in tandem with this year's Silk Road Symposium.

Keynote Speaker Dr. Margaret Sarkissian will discuss her new book (with Ted Solis): Living Ethnomusicology: Paths and Practices.

Note: The conference will begin on March 28, 2019 from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM with General Registration in the Lower Lobby of the Scales Fine Arts Center on the Wake Forest University campus (1834 Wake Forest Road,  Winston-Salem, NC 27106).

Note: Students interested in submitting their presentations for consideration for the Dale A. Olsen Prize should submit papers including AV examples to the SEMSEC Secretary/Treasurer/Program Chair/DAO Prize Chair electronically within seven (7) days after the final day of the annual meeting.
