SEM 2019 Annual Meeting Preliminary Program

The Society for Ethnomusicology will hold its 64th Annual Meeting on November 7-10, 2019, at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. The meeting will be hosted by Indiana University in conjunction with the IU Bicentennial (1820-2020). For information about the meeting, online registration, and hotel accommodations, please visit the conference website.

A preliminary program for the meeting is now available. Please send any corrections to Henry Spiller, 2019 Program Chair, at SEM2019Bloomington@gmail.com.

Two concurrent pre-conference symposia will be presented on November 6: “Film as Ethnography, Activism, and Public Work in Ethnomusicology” and “Heritage and the Politics of Inclusion in Latin American Brass Bands.”

The 2019 Charles Seeger Lecture will be delivered on November 9 by George Clinton (Parliament, Funkadelic, P-Funk All Stars).
