CSTM's 2018 meeting will be held in Regina, May 25-26, 2018.

The Call for Papers, with further details about the submission process can be found on our website: http://www.yorku.ca/cstm/conferences.htm

We invite proposals for papers, panels, roundtables, workshops, exhibits, film screenings, and other presentation formats. While we welcome submissions on a wide range of topics, we especially encourage proposals that explore the theme of Critical Issues in Ethnomusicology, including the following:

1)      Indigenizing and/or decolonizing the academy/music studies;

2)      Responses to and actions emerging from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission;

3)      Border crossing and migrations;

4)      Music as, or in response to, inclusion/exclusion

5)      Micro-histories and musical practices of communities large and small;

6)      Community-engaged methodologies and research reciprocity;

7)      Research-creation and other (new) research methodologies;

8)      Technologies for research dissemination including digital and multimedia representations;

9)      Other areas of critical engagement of interest to our membership.

Please note that CSTM will meet before the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences 2018 (May 27-29, 2018, University of Regina).
